Digital Chai Chat

The June Digital Chai Chat will bring EU Member States together for an exchange on Europe’s evolving approach to technology sovereignty and its relevance for EU-India digital cooperation.

Building on the European Commission’s Tech Sovereignty Package, the discussion will gather Member State perspectives on how Europe can strengthen its digital autonomy, resilience and capacity to innovate across strategic technologies. The session will consider where national approaches and EU-level priorities may converge, as well as what these developments could mean for cooperation with India across areas such as artificial intelligence, cloud infrastructure, semiconductors, digital connectivity and trusted digital ecosystems. The exchange is intended to capture perspectives and inform future dialogue, rather than present a consolidated Member State position.
