India AI Impact Summit 2026 – Roundtable on Opportunities for EU-India Collaboration for Twin Transition India

On the sidelines of the India AI Impact Summit 2026, the EU–India Digital Policy Dialogue and the Federation of European Business in India (FEBI) co-organised a roundtable on opportunities for EU–India collaboration on twin transition. Senior leaders from EU businesses gathered to explore how an AI-first mindset — rather than incremental digitalisation — can accelerate sustainable innovation at scale. The discussion centred on translating sustainability commitments into measurable outcomes, with AI-driven use cases to quantify and optimise operations for efficiency and reduced environmental impact. India’s engineering talent, digital-native ecosystem, and resource strengths were highlighted as natural complements to EU technological expertise. Participants advocated embedding sustainability into AI design and governance from the outset, and identified bilateral benchmarking, regulatory alignment, and co-creation as key pathways forward. The session reinforced AI as a bridge to net-zero ambitions — with trust, energy efficiency, and ethical integration as foundational requirements.
