Accessibility Statement

Scope of application

The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH wants to make its website  www.giz.de accessible and barrier-free. The objective is to design it in line with national legislation on the implementation of Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament. The following accessibility statement applies exclusively to www.giz.de and not to other services linked on the website such as GIZ’s job portal or the The Academy for International Cooperation (AIZ), which can be accessed under the ‘Join our team’ menu item.

Status of compliance

The website is compatible with the requirements. Extensive measures have been taken; however, barriers currently still exist in some areas, and we are already working to remedy them.

  • Subtitles are not available for all videos
  • A plain-language version of the website is not available
